My name is Jade, I am a certified personal trainer and middle school science teacher from Baltimore, Maryland. I was born and raised in Baltimore and I am a first generation American! My family is from Trinidad and Tobago, so my Baltimore accent is limited to a few words lol. I have played a variety of sports since I was 8 years old all the way into my adulthood. I started with track and field and just last year learned how to play softball. Honestly, I can attribute being an athlete my entire life for Made By Jade Fitness and now this blog! I love eating, reading, shopping, and doing anything or being around anyone who I can genuinely laugh and smile around. Good vibes are a MUST!
I know we just met but transparent moment...writing this blog is sooooo out of my comfort zone lol. But as we grow together you will learn, when I find myself in situations out of my comfort zone I stay right there! Why you ask? I DESPISE being intimidated. So I tackle the problem head on and make it my...you know the rest lol. Writing can be intimidating for me. I much more prefer to do all things hands on or talking (I love talking lol, hence my two professions). But we are here to learn and grow, so heres to new experiences!
After a long, tedious journey of discovering my passion, which we will delve into in my next blog post cause chile its long lol, I 100% know you can expect this blog to give you tips, tricks, and knowledge all things fitness related. But fitness is so much more than working out. We will touch on nutrition, mindset, cultural stigmas, and some controversial topics. Nonetheless, lets be clear; this will ALWAYS be a safe space. Please engage and speak your mind (respectfully) and lets have fun and learn together! No question is dumb and all topics are welcomed!
